Awakening The Sacred Masculine At The Turning Of The Ages cont.

I always love watching movies and seeing unlikely people triumph over adversity in their lives. What attracts me most (and the viewing public), are those who courageously face insurmountable odds by finding their deeper strength of will to overcome the difficulties they face.

This is why so many of us love these stories, because the characters face the Shadow element within themselves or in others and still fight the good fight to the last. These hero's always struggle to rise above their personal limitations to do what has to be done. Hopefully in the end, they come out victorious. And even if they don´t win it all, at least they followed their code of  honor and went down trying. They died with their integrity intact. And this is a very good thing.

The value of the archetypal Hero myth is we see displayed before us the one who has had to dig that much deeper within to find their abilities to not just refuse to give up but actually win the good fight.

The true heroes - either sex mind you - are compelled to do the right thing, not so much for themselves alone but for another’s well being. Their interests are for the greater good of the whole, not just themselves. This is a fundamental quality the Awakened Sacred Masculine consciously aligns with as a central core value he chooses to embody in his life.
These modern day myths are thinly  veiled, vicarious reminders that maybe we too possess the same special qualities our screen heroes have to overcome the challenges in our own lives. We all need reminders and role models to out-picture the qualities, attitudes and behaviors that best reflect our Divine natures.

This is why one of the fundamental intentions of the Awakened Sacred Masculine is to embody the Sacred in their life by restoring honor, respect and integrity - to first be the hero to themselves and then, to those they touch and affect.

This focus of intent intimatly reflects the Awakened Sacred Masculine's committment to their Soul's purpose. However you slice it, however it looks, it really is about doing the right thing, no matter what. And in order for him to recognize what the 'right thing' is, he has to be in conscious connection with his Sacred Self through his Soul stream awareness.
